macOS install walkthrough
When opening DREAM3D-NX for the first time on macOS you’ll need to right-click the app and choose Open to bypass the Gatekeeper warning. Click each step to expand.
Step 1 — Mount the .dmg
Look in your Downloads folder for the .dmg file and double-click it to mount the disk image. A Finder window will open. Drag DREAM3DNX.app into the Applications folder.
Step 2 — Copy to Applications
Once the copy is complete, navigate to the Applications folder and double-click DREAM3DNX.app.
Step 3 — First-launch warning
You’ll see a Gatekeeper warning. Click Cancel.
Step 4 — Right-click → Open
Right-click the application in Applications and select Open.
Step 5 — Confirm Open
Click the Open button on the second dialog. DREAM3D-NX will now launch. You only need to do this the first time.
